This course examines key topics such as the impact of anorexia and cachexia, the emotional and physiological challenges of eating at end of life, and the role of caregivers in supporting nutritional well-being. Learners will gain insight into the stages of cachexia, the limitations of nutritional interventions, and the importance of person-centred approaches. The course also provides practical guidance on symptom management, food fortification, and the appropriate use of oral nutritional supplements (ONS), with a focus on comfort, dignity, and informed decision-making.
