This course is for Staffordshire Adult Social Care providers delivering care to individuals in Staffordshire or for individuals outside of Staffordshire receiving care funded or commissioned by Staffordshire County Council.

How to book this training

Course Aim and Description
Learning Outcomes:
By successfully completing this course you will be able to:
• Describe what are care plans and why are they important
• List the relevant legislations in the UK
• Describe why it is important to ensure the person receives the same care regardless of which care worker is on duty
• Understand the importance of recording the care which is being provided
• Explain how to support the individual in identifying and managing their own care needs
• Understand what is person-centred approach
• Understand how to write effective care plans
• Explain how to evaluate and review the effectiveness of a care plan over time
• Describe the ethical principles and legal frameworks relevant to care planning
• Understand the importance of cultural competence in care planning
• Understand the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in care planning
• Describe how to develop advance care plans

If you cannot attend, you can send someone in your place but we will require notification so we can update the course register.

Car Parking

Refreshments will not be provided on the day, however there are shops close by.
