Description
This half day, workshop driven session, focuses on improving the assessment, understanding and safe management of customers presenting with emotional disturbance, psychosis and trauma. Consideration is given to lone-working, team working and leadership in creating a consistent approach to conflict management.
- Situational Awareness: Take away exercises for reading the room, preventing the event, maintaining self-awareness and getting to know yourself.
- Positive Communication: Reading the customer; thinking, feeling and behaviour. Positive engagement and rapport. Building confidence and resilience.
- Conflict Communication: How to manage yourself in a crisis. Taking calm and confident control. When to engage, when to withdraw and when to seek help.
- The Felt-Sense Model: An all agency model for building self-regulation skills for people with addictions and trauma.
