This webinar will identify the current national and local drivers guiding quality end-of-life care. It will enable people to recall the physical signs that help identify when end of life is approaching. Participants will be able to summarise the key principles of holistic assessment at end of life and discuss the importance of sensitive communication, including the involvement of patients and their families in decision-making. This webinar will define advance care planning (ACP) and help you develop an understanding of the Universal Principles for Advance Care Planning. ReSPECT, which stands for Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment, will be explored. You will be introduced to the ReSPECT plan and gain insights into the ReSPECT process, including what it is and what it is not.
