Description

This e-learning course is designed to support you to develop skills in the delivery of holistic care for individuals who are palliative or approaching end of life.

This course explores the distinctions between palliative care and end-of-life care, examining various illness trajectories and decision-making processes such as DNACPR and ReSPECT. It covers the delivery of holistic care, effective communication strategies, and key considerations for end-of-life care. Additionally, the course addresses post-death care, symptom management, and the evolving needs of individuals as they approach the end of life.

This training is suitable for all care support worker staff.

 

This training is equivalent to one hour participatory hours for CPD. A certificate will be provided upon completion of this training.

 

This training does discuss death and dying, and may be upsetting for some audiences.

 

This training was developed by the MPFT Palliative and End of Life Care Team (Palliative + EOLC).
