Spirituality and End of Life Care explores the profound aspects of spirituality in the context of end-of-life care. This course delves into essential topics such as understanding what spirituality is and the role of religion in spiritual care. Participants will learn to identify and address spiritual distress, recognising that spirituality can be challenging to navigate. The course provides guidance on the aims and assessments of spiritual care, including its integration within healthcare settings. Overview: This webinar is designed to support care home teams in delivering safer, more resilient care during the winter months. Winter brings heightened risks for care home residents. The session will provide practical, care-home-specific guidance to help managers and staff protect residents and reduce pressure on health services. Agenda: Infection Prevention & Control Strategies Exploring approaches to managing infection risks in care home settings during winter. This includes outbreak response, seasonal risk mitigation, and accessing specialist support tailored to your environment. Vaccine Uptake and Awareness Gain clarity on vaccine eligibility for residents and staff, understand access routes, and learn how to promote uptake effectively. The session will also highlight the role of vaccination in protecting vulnerable populations and maintaining safe care environments. Navigation of Urgent and Community Care Support How to manage urgent care needs without defaulting to hospital admission. Information on the available support including NHS 111, the Integrated Care Co-ordination Centre (ICCC), and the palliative care helpline. Welcome to this module focused on supporting and developing your team This module is part of a suite of modules that support the development of new managers which are aligned to the Manager Induction Standards.  It will provide you with an introduction to key topic areas to peak your interest and direct you to where you can start to learn more and to continue your development.
